Colorado

One of my dearest friends has moved to the beautiful state of Colorado and after much planning and saving I was finally able to reunite with her and do some serious exploring. I don't think I have ever been surrounded by so much beauty all at once. From the mountains to the city to my first time at a waterfall, I was blessed to scratch some things off my bucket list all while enjoying beautiful Colorado with my Ellen. While there, she took me hiking up Bridal Veil Falls, the Rocky Mountains and St. Mary's Glacier. We also drove up more than 14,000 ft (the highest road in the country) up Mt. Evans and visited beautiful Denver. If you ever get the chance to make it out to any part of Colorado, PLEASE DO! There's a little something for everyone and the scenery is more than breathtaking. I know for a fact I will be visiting again and I cannot wait.

Haiti

Hi friends! I recently experienced one the best times of my life. I was given the opportunity and blessing to visit Haiti on a mission's trip this past summer. To say I was transformed is an understatement. Despite the need and hardships that surrounded me and the children we met on a daily basis did not surpass all the love and appreciation that filled the air between all of us. So thankful for the hospitality we received and for the chance to get to know some amazing souls miles away. It was the truest pleasure to share the love in Haiti and to receive it so fully and abundantly right back. I miss my new friends so much already and I can't wait to visit again soon.

New York

Last month I had the great privilege of visiting New York City for the second time. And just like the last, it did not disappoint. I was only in the city one day, so naturally I made a somewhat structured schedule filled with all the must-see's and have-to-do's. Although I couldn't walk by the time we arrived back at our hotel, it was so well worth it. The weather was absolutely perfect and the energy was even better than before. I also got the chance to visit the 9/11 Museum for the first time and I recommend anyone to go. It is a perfect representation of all that America is and the respects paid to everyone who was present on that day. Another first was the Brooklyn Bridge! I was finally able to check that off my bucket list along with a few other things. I cannot wait till the next time I get the opportunity to visit this beautiful city all over again. I have fallen in love once again and it was the best 24 hours spent in a long time. The views were incredible, the food was incomparable, and the memories made will last me a lifetime. Till next New York.

Chicago

I had the opportunity to finally visit a city I had been wanting to visit for years this past fall. And it far from disappointed. This whole trip came about in 2013 when my best friend and I were sitting in a coffee shop some night in December and decided to write down all the things we wanted to do and places we wanted to see in 2014. "Chicago" was my immediate response. Hers, naturally was, "I'll go with you". Fast forward a few months and there we were, falling in love with that very city every second we spent there. It was one of the best trips I had ever experienced with one of my most favorite friends, more like a sister. It was a revelation to me that we worked to make this happen and indulge in our adventure-seeking, traveling desires together. The apartment we stayed in was in the prime Chicago downtown area with absolute breathtaking views of the city. Waking up to that in the morning is still the sweetest memory. From watching from high above to turning strangers into friends, Chicago stole my heart. And I can't wait to go back for Round Two. I think we get comfortable and hesitant far too may times in life, and sometimes, we need to just...GO.
