Layered & Tailored

This is probably one of my favorite outfits I've ever styled. For one - I love blazers and think everyone needs a good one in their closet as it serves as the perfect staple piece to elevate an outfit. I found this plaid blazer at my local thrift store (similar here and here) and have had it on rotation for weeks! To add a bit of a younger and more modern feel, I threw on my western-style belt to call attention to the waistline and create a sleeker silhouette. With a plain black turtlenck for the perfect layer and a small crossover bag, I think this is a look really anyone can pull off. As per usual, I had to pair this with my black skinnies and over-the-knee boots to add some height but still keep the focus on the blazer. I walked all through downtown in this outfit and it was so comfortable yet put-together. It hints at menswear fashion, which I LOVE, but stays true to the feminine fashion we've been seeing evolve so much lately.
