One of the best things in fashion, in my opinion, is the history of it. From high school, I fell in love with the idea of going out to local thrift stores and finding vintage pieces that are still beautiful to wear today. That's how I came about this beautiful cranberry-colored J Crew turtleneck sweater (don't ask me how many times I've worn it!). It is the perfect amount of coziness featuring a rolled neck (currently trending again) and oversized fit - so ahhhh-mazing (similar options here, here and here)! To compliment the color and overall sweater, I focused on the jewelry by pairing my current go-to gold statement earrings from Forever 21 (similar option here and here), a simple black and gold bag, and lace up booties for some added height and balance. This is such an easy put-together outfit that can be thrown on for a casual day outing or dinner with the girls (you know how much I love functionality in fashion, ha!). With that said, my main point is, your new favorite piece isn't always going to be found in the "new in" section of your favorite store. But could be tucked away in the back of thrift store hanging in the middle of a crowded clothing rack waiting for some love. Give it a shot and the possibilities are endless!
