When the gingham trend began to resurface I was a little skeptical. I don't have the best memories of gingham clothes as a child (embarrassing overalls!) and it's not a trend you see around very often anymore. However, the combination of a gingham pattern on billowy wrap tops was so effortlessly perfect, and I'm not sure which one I love more. When I spotted this top at H&M (similar here and here) I grabbed it immediately. It doesn't feature the oversized sleeves (that are amazing) that you see around the blogs, but that allows for little more opportunity to dress down and keep it on the casual side. It wraps around the waist twice and you can tie or bow the excess for added detail and features a deep v neckline that flatters the chest area. It's the perfect way to elevate an otherwise simple outfit and it is surprisingly versatile. Paired with my white skinnies and my favorite white sneaks, this was the perfect outfit to skip around in the Miami Design District with the girlfriends.
