The mom jean. When I first caught wind that this style was making a comeback I cringed a little. But like every other trend I hate at first, I always end up loving it in the end. I have been on the hunt for every type of mom jean out there - black, white, blue, cropped, destroyed - all of them! I absolutely love the way it flatters the body and hugs all the right places. They bring the classic style back in the best modern way and I'm all here for it. I got this pair of mom jeans from New Look (similar here and here), but you can seriously find these at any store these days. I love the light wash and the high waist is perfect. I then went on to pair these with a fitted black turtleneck to off set the relaxed fit of the jeans. To dress up a classic combo like this, throw in a jazzy belt to give it a bit more life. I added my western double-buckle belt as a point of interest and black booties (as always) for a relaxed overall feel. I love this look so much for its comfort and timeless nature. If you haven't grabbed a pair (or three) of some good mom jeans, what are you waiting for?! You will not regret this revived closet staple.
